$55,909A mere 19 miles east of downtown Los Angeles lay the city of West Covina. Everyone knows where Los Angeles is, but a few people may not have even heard of West Covina, which is very unfortunate because the city has a lot to offer.
A relatively young city, West Covina actually had fewer than 2,000 residents prior to World War II. After the war, however, the city saw a major increase in population and new development. Between the 1950’s and 1960’s, West Covina was one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
Today, the city is still continuing to grow with even more new developments. The West Covina Sportsplex Project, for instance, houses a 43-acre commercial development, a sports park, an 18-hole golf course, and a commercial office development.
