Danvers is a town located in the Danvers River in Essex County, Massachusetts. Once known as Salem Village, the town is notable for its association with the 1692 Salem witch trials, which actually took place in a variety of towns across the province, including in the towns of Ipswich, Andover, and Salem Town.
