The city is home to a number of Victorian style homes and buildings. In fact, it has a total of 809 buildings listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Whiskey Row, located in downtown Prescott is one whole city block of historical significance. Whiskey Row has been the long time home of St. Michael’s Hotel - formerly Hotel Burke - and the Palace Hotel since the late 19th century.
Among the most prominent annual events hosted by the city is the Frontier Days. Started in 1888, it is the oldest rodeo competition in the world.
