Known as the “Carousel Capital of the World”, Binghamton is home to six antique carousels, two of which are within the city limits, one at Recreation Park and the other at Binghamton Zoo in Ross Park. The city houses a variety of historic attractions, including the Roberson Museum and Science Center, Cider Mill in Endicott, and the Phelps Mansion Museum.
The Kopernik Observatory and Science Education Center is located just 15 minutes from downtown Binghamton. The facility features a gallery of space images, as well as an observatory and a multitude of educational programs for both adults and kids.
