Local Information for Bradenton, FL

Bradenton is a city in Manatee County, Florida. It is the largest principal city of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan area. It is also the county seat of Manatee County. The city was named after Dr. Joseph Braden, whose house was a refuge for the early settlers during Indian attacks.

The City of Bradenton is home to the Village of Arts, the largest art district on the Gulf Coast featuring galleries, studios, small restaurants, and other business establishments. Major League Baseball's Pittsburgh Pirates trains at the McKechnie Field in the city.
