HUD sets Income Limits for each area based on the median family income in that area. Each Public Housing Agency (PHA) will use the Income Limit set for the jurisdiction that the PHA covers. Therefore, a family may be eligible for one PHA but not another. Hudson is a town on the western portion of Middlesex County, Massachusetts. At one point in the town’s early history, it was once a thriving “shoe town” having 17 shoe factories. Most of these factories were powered by the Assabet River, which runs through the town.
Today, the town of Hudson is a prosperous and beautiful family-friendly community. Many of the town’s 19,000 residents are of Irish and Portuguese descent, with a few of the locals coming from other racial ancestry. But whatever the demographics are in this town, one thing is for certain; its people are just as charming and appealing as the town itself.
The town is home to a number of historic houses of worship, including the Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church (1889) and the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, which was built in 1861.
